Fronting our campaign is Victoria Woodham, a dynamic leader who brings to the role not only a wealth of scientific training but also her experience as a mother to two beautiful girls, the youngest of which, Alba (2), has Down’s syndrome.
Currently balancing family life with her role as Director at Redwood Clinical, Victoria is dedicating every spare minute to her work for Future of Down’s, a role that her education and professional experience couldn’t have better prepared her for.
With a BSC in Genetics and Biotechnology and an MA in Ethics of Medical Research and Biotechnology, plus over 14 years in the pharmaceutical industry with companies such as AstraZeneca and Sanofi Pasteur, Victoria has a deep understanding of not only the ethical issues of prenatal screening, but also the science and research behind Non Invasive Prenatal Testing.
The fact that her talent and skills are coupled with her own personal insight of life with Down’s syndrome makes her an even more valuable member to the team. Her love of Alba and her desire to help the world see the richness of modern day life for those with Down’s syndrome brings a passion and drive to her work that is second to none.
Victoria is more than happy to talk to members of the press or supply quotes for articles. To arrange a chat, please email futureofdownspress@gmail.com.
